CHANGING JEWELRY HABITS AFTER THIS....

[ Edited ]

When I ever get out of here, put on my regular clothing and jewelry, I'll definitely be paring down a lot of the daily pearls, diamond wedding rings, etc. I'm thinking it's not appropriate to flaunt in front of so many of those who have lost jobs and on unemployment. I have no shortage of more inconspicuous jewelry to wear.

How do you feel about wearing your more expensive jewelry?

I have 3 diamond rings in a bank safety deposit box. Inherited them from my mother, grandmother and great aunt. Never wear them. I rarely wear pearls.  Mostly I wear earrings.  Wearing two rings now one from JTV and one from QVC.   I don't spend a lot of money on jewelry. I don't see the point.

Just because it's pearls or diamonds doesn't mean you are flaunting wealth or belittling anyone else.  It's all about taste and appropriatness and how YOU behave and interact with others.

It's never about anything but that.

I always wear my diamond wedding/engagement rings - no matter the occasion.  As far as other jewelry, these days I'm not wearing anything else since I'm at the house everyday.  Even running an quick errand, no other jewelry at all.

Re: CHANGING JEWELRY HABITS AFTER THIS....

if i am out i would not or will not change the way i dress or accessorize.

i dont feel like there is a reason to do that.

what about expensive shoes, or handbags, or clothing some may have?

i am not even sure i would always recognize who is wearing something expensive or not?......so much good costume jewelry out there these days.

i feel  like the more "normal" we can remain, the better we feel.

i am just waiting to see a bejeweled mask! Smiley Wink

Hi there,

well spoken. I completely understand. I will be donating money i would have been giving to this mulit billion dollar company to much better use on business and places that could use it  more.

I will also be a bit more aware of how i  present in the world and where my priorities will be.

@Shanus  I usually do that anyway depending on where I'm going.

Expensive is relative.

To me wearing diamonds is "expensive"

I have a few but will never buy anymore, before or after this pandemic.

I will not change my jewelry wearing habit.

I can't imagine anyone caring enough one way or another when they see your jewelry.  If they give it a thought at all, they probably will assume it's fake.
