Bronzo Italia rings and earrings

I am new to this line of jewelry. Recently I ordered my first purchase. Two plain band rings yellow and white and two pairs of earrings in the same metals. Does this metal hold up to everyday daily wear or do you have to take them off to wash your hands etc. How to you care for this jewelry line? Are the earrings "heavy" in your ears? Thanks for any info you can give me. I have yet to receive them.
