Re: Biting My Nails about Gem Shopping Purchase

The reason I was biting my nails was because I rarely spend this kind of money on jewelry.

I did my homework on lavender jade beforehand and also have studied the vendor, Sam, on this Gem Shopping channel for years. His credentials are impeccable.

I almost wanted to dislike the earrings. They, however, have a quality of construction and cut/color properties that make them undeniably precious. I'm keeping them.

Re: Biting My Nails about Gem Shopping Purchase

Think about what?  You collect jade so inspect them and if you don't like them or if they aren't worth the price you paid, return them.  I watch that channel because I'm a jewelry lover and collector.  I love looking at the estate pieces $$$$$.  I particularly like the pink diamond jewelry.  There is a $49K pink diamond ring on now.

Re: Biting My Nails about Gem Shopping Purchase

Well, @chrystaltree , maybe I thought the Gem Shopping channel and my purchase were worth talking about. That's what we're here for, correct?

I post way less than you. Are you wanting to exclude my thoughts?

@Mustang Shar , So good to hear from you. Yes, this company is legit.

I am transitioning from buying less and paying more.

The lavender jade earrings are everything I could have hoped for.  I just have to get used to the idea of paying more for getting more and more!

LOL, I'm laughing buying less but paying more 🤣🤣🤣. I did just that and bought a Porsche, was on my bucket list so yep, did it! Funny about jewelry and how tastes can change! I'm hooked on Levian and now, I'm thinking of selling most of my other jewelry.

I've watched Gem and Lordy, those pieces are just gorgeous!! Have you purchased any other pieces? Lavender Jade is gorgeous... wish you could post a picture of them .  Didn't Q used to do a jade show?  I have an orange jade pendant, in the shape of a flat disk but don't remember where I bought it?

aww, thanks for remembering me. I was so active here when Linea was an active brand.

@depglass , True lavender jade is natural, not dyed. It is very desirable.

As a jade lover, I have become very discerning about natural jade and dyed jade. Often on shopping channels this is not divulged on cursory examination.

True, valuable jade requires study.

You need to be trained and have the tools of a gemologist to determine if it was dyed or further treated @FLgardener .  Unfortunately, Lavender Jade can be synthetic, color treated and have other ehancements.

His a place to find what I just provided above:

The Gem Shopping Network should provide a GIA report.  Can you ask them for one?

Re: Biting My Nails about Gem Shopping Purchase

@gertrudecloset .

You are correct. I am a student of jade for many years, as well as a follower of Gem Shopping Network. I had just not bought from them before.

My earrings are indisputably genuine Burmese Lavender Jade, in superb setting. The earring backs are substantial and all in all, these show all the marks of being totally legit. The color of true Burmese jade is unrivalled.
