If you have knowledge of how Jewelry TV calculates their diamond stimulants, please explain it to me! I have searched their website to no avail. Since millimeter sizes are given on most items, I can sort of guess the carat weight that is being depicted. Just wondering if anyone knows the actual formula. Thanks so much!

I think JTV uses actual gem weights, and not "diamond equivalent weights". A one carat CZ is the equivalent of approx half a carat diamond.

Here's a chart that gives you diamond equivalency for lots of different stone sizes and shapes. You can run down the CZ weight that JTV provides, and see what the diamond equivalent would be, or the size of the stone in mm.

I've seen reviews on JTV complaining that the buyer wasn't expecting such a large/small stone, so it's a common issue. I don't understand why they wouldn't offer equivalency weights like every other vendor.

Clover29, I agree as I can't imagine why they need to make it harder! I'm checking out the link now! Thanks!
