Yesterday my favorite Barbara Bixby piece - an older and goodie in my opinion had a fixture failure. The piece is from the early 2000's. It is a cross - 1 ' x 1' with a 2-3 carat checkerboard cut garnet. The pendant fixture is an arm that attaches to a nub on the pendant itself. I guess over the years the nub has worn down and it can no longer hold onto the 'arm'.
I was wondering if it is worth the expense of having the piece repaired by Barbara Bixby or should I just have the repair done at the jewelers.
Thanks for any input on this matter.
