I forgot it was a Gold day but I'm not a "Lookie Lou" type. I only watch shows when I'm shopping and I'm not in the market for any real gold now. I suspect there are a lot of viewers today but not many shoppers.

I'm not even remotely interested in gold jewelry so haven't watch much but what I did see were many pieces so tiny they looked like baby jewelry. I have a feeling many people are going to be mightily disappointed when their package arrives.

It's ONLY one day...EVERY week we have a WHOLE day of Beauty, Health, Food, Electronics or Gardeening...So let's go with the Flow.

It's not just what QVC customers wish for, it's what they (should) expect. QVC started California Gold Rush on January 24, 1988. The only years the event was fewer than 24 hours were 2011, (13 hrs), 2012 (13 hrs), and 2013 (15 hrs). What was particularly odd about last year's event was that it was called Gold Jewelry Sale and held all day January 14, 2016, with no mention made of the California Gold Rush.
Rick is technically correct in stating that this is the first 24-hour California Gold Rush in three years by the fact that in 2016 CGR was replaced with a different 24-hour gold event and in 2015 California Gold Rush was 29 total hours. He's still giving the wrong impression and someone should have told him not to say it.
QVC customers shouldn't be surprised that there is a whole day devoted to gold jewelry in January for they've done it for 27 of the past 30 years. If you don't like the programming, and now that they've restored the date to January 24th, you can plan to occupy you're time accordingly in the future. What is surprising is that there are 200+ new items, the return of Imperial Gold, the Western motifs not seen on the set in exactly 10 years, the (newly) pre-recorded trivia about the Califonia Gold Rush, and QVC admitting that they restored the name California Gold Rush because customers asked for it. I'm not even surprised Mary Beth was sick, it has happened before.

Once again, Qvc Thank you. From start to finish well done. You gave every price range something to purchase or appreciate seeing. Dear friend ordered two equist items. First time in long time felt like Qvc hearing customers. Don't get me wrong, Realize nothing stays the same. For one day, Qvc from days gone by. Thanks again-🌷

@Trinity11 I'm not a fan of Judith's silver line because it's too big but I loved her gold line, very understated, will definitely purchase a piece or two in the future

@qvcfreakI loved some of the offerings yesterday as well. I bought the diamond earrings with gold. They were just so pretty and I couldn't resist.
I only like her silver if it doesn't have diamonique. I am not a fan of diamond simulants with large price tags...

Never understood spending $$$ on clad Monaco Ring. Watching ladies showing collections 300.00 400.00 instead saving for one heirloom piece. Rather have the real deal than five fakes.

@Trinity11 Very pretty earrings, enjoy them and wear them in good health. I'm not a fan of simulant stones either, not that it isn't pretty but I'd rather spend my money on genuine stones and precious metal.

@PINKdogWOOD wrote:@blackhole99 I sort of disagree with you because the gold pieces are hand made in small factories as is the silver.
@PINKdogWOOD I don't buy gold so I could care less where or who makes it, but I do know my hand made artisan silver jewelry and I think the Q is pretty good about telling us if the piece is hand made or not. I also think silver lovers can tell whether a piece is machine made or hand made. I'm not saying factory made is bad, just that I don't want to own any of it or spend my time watching the show.
