Re: April 1st Fire Light TSV

@SamBrown  Well, as of noon PDT, none of the options has sold out.  I got a 20% off coupon from the Q in my e-mail this morning, decided to see what it would work on, and found the maximum discount was $50, so I did not place my order for one of the tennis necklaces.  Now if I could have gotten 20% off of the $2000 necklace, THAT might have made a sale.  But I am sure the Q couldn't have afforded that much, so, oh, well, no tennis necklace for me.

I hear you on the plating issue, I won't buy a plated ring, because I know it will wear off.  Now a necklace?  I think that would last, I have a few UltraFine Silver items plated in 18kt yellow gold, and those have held up really well, and the plating over that really "white" silver is a good, true color.  I don't know how the general 14kt color looks, I hope, for those who do purchase, that it's a pretty color.  I view bronze as useful for one specific thing, that mocha/chocolate color.  I love that color of jewelry in the fall!  I have a very old "chocolate gold" pair of hoops from the Q that is plated over 14kt yellow, and bought a mocha bronze necklace to wear with them when I want that warm brown color as an accent to autumn clothes. I may try that set this summer with a pale colored sundress, and it might mix nicely with turquoise, too, for summer.  I'll see if that works whenever the weather warms up here.

@SamBrown   The Fire Light diamond TSV from the holiday period was earrings set in silver or gold plate, and those sold out in all the larger carat weights, so perhaps the Q is hoping for a repeat?

@CamilleP  I think people are more apt to purchase earrings than tennis necklaces. I would wear the earrings daily whereas, the tennis necklace is not conducive to many people's lifestyles. JMHO.

Re: April 1st Fire Light TSV

That was my take on it too, @elated .  I actually prefer the "diamond by the yard" style or a solitaire necklace, the tennis necklace is sort of the "top level" to me.  And I live out in the country outside a tiny town next to a small city, I have no place to wear something so dressy.  Maybe a holiday concert?  I do have a few necklaces of the same style in Diamonique, and I just never wear them, so I just can't justify spending so much on real diamonds, only for THEM to sit in the box unworn.  Plus, nobody to pass them on to in a few more years, so, in the end, sorry, nope.

@CamilleP   It's a shame that the 20% off coupons have a "maximum" discount.
