Anyone try Stately Steel? I'm wondering about the quality. The ts on hsn looks like a killer deal if you are into hoops.

Re: Anyone try Stately Steel

I have one piece, it is a necklace. What struck me about it when I received it is that it doesn't have a clasp and the design doesn't go all the way around, it is just in the front.

That is how they cut costs. I rarely buy from HSN (usually just JM products), but I do like Steel by Design, so I thought I would try their SS line. The majority of their stuff is really bold (which is not my style), but this was one of the few delicate pieces they had.

I kept it becuase it was $8 and free S&H. It would have cost more to return it ;o)

Re: Anyone try Stately Steel

Thanks for the feedback. The deal is awesome, and with the free shipping, I couldn't pass it up. I almost exclusively wear hoops so this ts was just calling my name! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

I actually prefer stainless steel due to sensitively issues...the price can't be beat, and the upkeep is nothing. I have some Steel by Design hoops that I have worn in my 3rd and 4th piercings every single day for the past few years and they still look nearly new.

I have some Stately Steel and I love it. However, I will say that I think the Steel by Design is better quality. It's all steel though, so it's all rugged. But the Q does a very nice job on their steel jewelry.

I think QVC's steel line is much better designed than that of HSN's.

Re: Anyone try Stately Steel

I have a few pieces of the stately steel and I love it. I don't need this set of earrings because I already have several pair of either sterling or stainless earrings that are similar to pairs included in this set.

I bought a pair of stately steel and crystal inside/outside hoops that look just like the ones in today's set (not sure if the size is the same though) and I wear them all the time. In fact I am wearing them today. I get a ton of wear from those earrings.

IMO Q's steel by design has gotten too expensive. HSN's is much more economical. I will not pay a lot for steel jewelry.

I know... Steel By Design has gone way up over the years. I have a pair of SBD hoops in that are part of a 3 pair set that I paid $23 a few years back. And I have one of the first bangles they ever offered (wearing that also) that cost me $18.

Glad I hoarded several pieces when I did because lately I haven't been able to justify the newer prices.

Re: Anyone try Stately Steel

I have a few of stately steels bangles and bracelets and they are very well made and have held up with no dents or scratches and I have worn them everyday for the last five years. I also have some hoop earrings that are well made. I like SBD but I have had to send a few things back recently becauce of quality issues( diamonique evil eye bracelet) crystal earrings, necklace.
