I like the looks of it, but will the brass tarnish?  I have one ring from Studio Barse that is brass and it never tarnishes. Not sure about Carolyn's.

@YELLOW 19   Carolyn said the brass is treated or covered with something and won't tarnish,  at least not in the near future.

I was very excited when I saw Carolyn was going to have a TSV. I LOVE her jewelry and own a ton.

I have to say I was disappointed when I saw this however.

I was expecting a WOW, and to me, this is NOT a wow!

I wonder what makes the skin on her hands so red.  It looks so painful I can't look at it.  I've never seen it so bad.

Re: Any thoughts on Carolyn Pollack's TSV tomorrow?

I have many, many pieces of CP jewelry from decades ago.  There is such a world of difference in her jewelry of then vs now.  The gem choices, the designs, all were so beautiful back then.  I am sure todays prices have a lot to do with it but most of what she makes now appears to have very small stones and not very substantial settings.  I used to buy at least half of every show she was on.  Now, nothing really hits me.  I am sure she is bringing in the best she can at certain price points but I think it shows.  To be fair, she is not the only designer to fall victim to price points.  An example is a lot of gold earrings with filler in the centers so they look good but can be cheaply made.  I guess I will just wear what I have.  My opinion, of course.

I preordered this ring and I have it. I got it a couple of days ago. It's a keeper. I really like it. It is a substantial ring. It runs a bit small but I can wear it on my ring figer comfortably where I usually can wear a 9 on my middle finger and pn my ring finger. It won't go on my m iddle finger. Too small. I love the ring and ordered the two inserts that you could buy extra. Those haven't come yet. Carolyn did say to size up.

Congrats to everyone who ordered and is enjoying their rings!!  I also passed on the TSV, as I have too many similar pieces.  But I did pick up a few goodies.  Thought it was a great visit overall!  I fell in love with this one especially... wish it had been presented though.

Carolyn is currently trying to schedule a collector event for this spring or summer at the Q.  We're not sure of the details just yet.  But if you're interested, keep an eye on CP's FB page.  Hope everyone can make it if and when it does happen!
