my ring finger is a size 4 ,  that large of a diamond would look huge on my hand and not real . My engagement ring is a carat and a half which looks just right , it's an oval .     I feel it looks fine on Amy her hands are not tiny , not large either ,  but it looks fine if she wants to  wear a large carat which obviously she does .

ShopLC dot com has this 5-carat solitaire set in 950 platinum for $3K. Sizes are very limited.

I notice her ring swings around her finger. Larger stones have a heavier mounting. When mine was redesigned, the jeweler added extra platinum along the bottom of the ring. You can't see it's there. It "weighted" it so it stays in place with no chance of spinning and getting knocked.

It seems to me that 5 carats is being seen more on celebrities as engagement rings.

Selena Gomez has a 5ct marquis. I think that is the size. I favor marquis so thought her ring was quite pretty.
