The ring Amy is wearing tonight is WOW! I heard it was a lab grown diamond. Stunning on her hand.

It's gorgeous. I remember when it was presented - 5 carats pear shape - Amy went nuts over it. Looks a lot better with her diamond band than the ring she's been wearing.

5 carats...REALLY? I wouldn't want anyone to cut my finger off for that....

I would never pay 7K for a lab grown diamond on a tv shopping channel. Just me. If you look out there the price is much better elsewhere between 2K- 4K and even if she got a discount it's still a bad investment but hey she must have some money to burn. Guess she and Court are the queens of the big bling.

I myself would not feel comfortable wearing a diamond that big.

It's Lab grown. A 5 caret natural diamond would have doubled the cost (and the value)

I admit I'm not knowledgeable about jewelry or in particular diamonds, but I thought "lab grown" was being touted as the equivalent of a "natural" diamond?? In everything except price???

@songbird A criminal wouldn't know that if you happened to be wearing something like that while out and about. I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing that either....it could be glass. How would they know at a glance?
I didn't wear my mother's real diamond tennis bracelet when we went to a black tie wedding in an upscale venue in Philadlephia. I knew that we would be waiting around at 10pm on a city street by ourselves (the wedding went on until midnight) waiting for the valet to bring the car.
Instead I wore a cheap blingly bracelet and wouldn't be as upset if something happened to it.

Yes. Lab grown will always be cheaper. Same with gems. The natural is more desirable then the synthetic. In fact the natural gem (not natural diamonds) is way more expensive then the lab grown. I would never buy a lab grown gem. Only natural. Might be different with a synthetic diamond. Synthetic anything is way cheaper then anything natural.

I just don't understand the concept - if the lab created was born to give you a bigger look- then just buy diamonique. Why spend thousands of dollars on a lab created piece that is nothing more than a step above diamonique and will never hold value like a natural diamond. It reminds me of the bronzo stuff they used to sell in place of 14K gold.
