It is another sales tactic. That is all it is. If sales for the diamonique rings she wore played out. Why not a pricey ring.
Wow, what criticism about a girl who just likes big bling! Probably she cannot afford the big diamond of her dreams. I, too, would enjoy wearing this yellow diamond ring--it has an awesome finger presence for the carat weight, and usually rounds and baguettes together give off a great sparkle.
If I would have worked at QVC in the past, much of my salary might have gone to buying all the pretty gold jewelry that was so prevalent then! Of course, I bought anyway, even without an employee discount, and I have a great collection.
IMO, the clarity is not quite as much of an issue for smaller diamond stones, as they are not really that valuable, and are usually sold in lots, not as individual stones. In the past smaller yellow stones were always worth less than white ones, but that does not stop them from being just as pretty.
Oh yes, I did happen to buy a QVC yellow/multi diamond ring two months ago--J417819--which is why I sadly have to pass on Amy's new ring, as my budget will not stretch that far! I hope she wears it in good health, and enjoys it every day!
