American West gemstone Ornate Filigree necklace

I purchased this in black onyx. Now it is gone from American West items--no where to be found. Several people wrote in they received it broken. The O-ring wasn't closed all the way. Why do you think they took it off the website, when it was a new item. I can't decide whether to keep it or not. The O-ring on mine looks fine. Anyone else have this problem?
