It actually says designed and "crafted". I think all their jewelry now is no longer manufactured in the US.

@Shannon18. Most Americans West customers know by now that Carolyn and Bill Pollack sold their business and are no longer manufacture in the USA. Carolyn claims to still be doing designing. All of that line I've seen in almost two years is made in India. It may have been designed and "created" by Carolyn on paper, depending on the definition of "create".
That hardly rises to the level of fraud. You can see the country of manufacture on most of the pieces online if you look closely.

They didn't mislead you. It said DESIGHED AND CREATED in the USA. It did not say manufactured in the USA. This is very common because India is a world leader in manufacturing jewelry. From inexpensive shopping channel jewelry to high end designer jewelry that costs many thousands of dollars.

Despite the previous posts, I think that the OP and other shoppers should not have to go online for clarification before purchasing. "Design and Created in the USA" while it may have a different meaning than "manufactured in"...is still can imply to us regular schmoes as "made in USA" if the difference is not pointed out by the seller if they say designed and created in the USA,well , that is manipulative and can be misconstrued. I know I wouldnt think differently.

@Shannon18 "I'll alert the media." LOL.

I guess "created" does not mean "manufactured" in the USA. Kind of misleading, IMO.

I have to agree that "Designed and crafted in the USA", would lead me to believe it was made in the USA. As a longtime customer of American West, I'm aware that the company was sold several years ago and manufacture was moved out of this country.
Customers new to the line would have no reason to be aware of that.
But I think they (QVC and the vendor) deliberately don't emphasize that in any of the presentations or descriptions online. They simply stress "American West". Like other lines, they should have in the description "Imported".
See the definition of "craft" below. It is synonymous with "manufacture". To me, they are simply playing with semantics. (ETA: I no longer buy any "American West" jewelry. All of mine was purchased when it was truly "made in America".)

This is the definition of craft, as a verb:

No, Shannon is right. QVC has the wrong information on the website page for this item. This is an older online only item. It was first listed around April 2022 at $234.00. The original quantity of the item was made in USA. Production of American West jewelry moved to India in 2023. If Shannon had bought this item in 2022 or early 2023 she would have received one that was made in USA.
