I like matrix, too. Maybe that is why I don't care for Sleeping Beauty turquoise. This squash blossom necklace is pretty, but it is too shiny and bright for my taste.

I have a couple of pieces with accents of this sleeping beauty stone. I like my turquoise with some character - not that artificial stuff Jay King sometimes injects (?) into his jewelry - just nature's hand. It's funny, I can take uneven matrix in turquoise but too much in picture jasper just peeves me.
