Re: Ambrosia bracelet at Sam's

I thought I heard Lisa R say there were 62 carets in the Q's Ambrosia. Whether I am "bright" or not, as far as terrier3 is concerned, certainly is not going to cause me to lose any sleep.

Either you got a great deal - or QVC is ripping off Ripkanistas!

Explain the so-called "rip off" as no one is forcing anyone to buy anything whatsoever. Your logic fails.

Anyone who pays TRIPLE for a lesser quality line is getting ripped off...or is a VERY poor shopper!

WILLINGLY buying lesser quality items for much more money isn't very bright, IMO.

AND---where's the "rip-off"? You are suggesting that QVC is deceiving the buyer---not so if they are willingly paying. Again, your logic and reasoning fails. There is NO rip-off---only a willing buyer and seller. Whether a buyer is wise is another story, but it is not a rip-off. Your histrionics are just silly.

Paintbrush, Could you tell me which location you are in? The Sams clubs in my area no longer have the ambrosia bracelet. Your area may no longer either, but I would really appreciate knowing. Thank you

Re: Ambrosia bracelet at Sam's

I bought it because it was the last one and although I wasn't sure what all the stones were I know with Sam's return policy I could check online to find out and have time to think about it. Right now I'm still not entirely sure about the stones. There are definitely no cz's. She uses white sapphires which I love. As a child the only piece of jewelry I owned was a white sapphire emerald shaped stone that my uncle who was a jeweler got for my 8th grade graduation that I wore well into adulthood and I've never seen another one like it. I'm not sure that the large stones are all crystals. As I mentioned above the description lists an amethyst and a smoky quartz and they definitely look real but I still am unsure about the green stone because it looks like the finest quality peridot to me. The 2 yellow stones I'm sure are Judith's canary crystals that are really gorgeous. The overall bracelet is weighty, solid, and I love the tiny gold hearts on the corners of 2 of the stones. A nice touch.

The one on QVC that is $1400+ is definitely diamonique - but the big stones are quartz.I agree with Sheesh - QVC is taking advantage.

No, that is not what I said---I said the opposite. QVC is NOT taking advantage---the buyers are adults making their own freely-formed buying decisions---no one forces anyone to buy anything.
