My son's wedding ring slid off his finger in the sea while on his honeymoon. He was devastated. Two divers from Canada heard about it and secretly dove for 4 days looking for it. About to give up, on the fourth day, one of them found the ring laced around a piece of seaweed on the bottom of the sea. Imagine my kid's utter surprise and gratitude when a complete stranger knocked on his door and presented him with his beloved wedding ring!! Now that's a story to tell his grandchildren some day!!

@qualitygal : I'm glad you didn't do that. A tarnish in a ring shows up that is sterling Silver Silver in that metal, not a cheap one. If a piece of jewelry is ruined you can take it to repair it.
Post a picture of your ring.

Years ago a student at our elem school brought her mom’s nice size solitaire engagement ring to school to show her friends. Teacher noticed a small crowd gathering around the child, obviously looking at something interesting, and asked to see the item.
Needless to say, the mom was thankful for this particular call home!
