Loyale, are you sure that the clasp is fully closing when you put it on the Judith Ripka piece? I have Barbara Bixby crosses in blue and pink mother of pearl, and the couture key, and I don't believe I can wear them on the Ripka pearl system. I've never been able to wear them on any kind of a link except for a Barbara Bixby o-ring link, such as that on the Eastern necklace or on the leather pieces. The clasps on my Bixby enhancers are too curved at the top and there is too little space between the top of the curve and the hinge. They won't close completely, and I can't get the wishbone safety clasp. That might be what is happening with yours.

Yes, it is scary. I got to work and found I was missing one of my mother of pearl crosses one day. I was sick. I found it on the floor of the car, but after that day I did a little preventive maintenance on the wishbone safety clasp.

Me too. Can't believe she has never changed the mechanism. I've tried the adjusting, but will never feel all that secure wearing them, having had them fall off.
The earring hooks are also always too large for my ear piercing.

I lost a Bixby key enhancer about six months ago. I was in a grocery store, happen to look down and it was gone. A couple of days before I notice it was loose. I should have tighten it up then.
I order a 1995 Bixby heart from ebay (yes it's a original). This time I used my jewelry tools and tighten the wire safety clasp. I bought a fire mountain sterling silver ( a jewelry craft magazine) flower enhancer and attached to my Barry Cord frog pendant a couple years ago. In nearly 3 years this enhancer had never came undone from it's safety latch. I believe it's all in the design.

Years ago, I thought I lost my engagement ring. I found it a day later under the cushions of my sofa. I was home that day & had it on, apparently when I took a long nap at night on the sofa, it fell off somehow even tho it fits well. What a search and it didn't dawn on me to look under the sofa. Yes, very scary!!! Usually when I am home, I don't wear the ring & haven't since then.
I haven't had a problem with BB's 2 enhancers I have...I only wore them with her leather necklace & now the new Silver one, but who knows, they seem to close tightly but I don't wear them often.
