I seem to remember that QVC did this last Christmas Eve, and many complained that it should have been weeks earlier.  Not sure why they aren't doing it around December 1st, when we are still shopping~

I was thinking the same thing.  They didn't have any jewelry shows on this month.  I don't understand their logic with having a jewelry show on the day before Christmas.

I think they do it on Christmas Eve because thousands of people buy jewelry today -  thousands.  It's a day people treat themselves when they often won't do that two or three weeks before Christmas.

I hadn't realized today was all jewelry and turned on QVC thinking Susan G would be on.  Instead Pat is there showing jewelry - and there are definitely people buying.  And that's why they do it.

I would have enjoyed a jewelry day instead of all the days of junk gifts.

I do enjoy jewelry shows.  HSN had a 24 hour jewelry clearance.  Great pieces on that one.  I watched Q a little last night with Alberti, he showed some nice diamonique pieces.  Has anyone purchased the diamonique tennis bracelet?  Is it nice in person?

They don't want people to buy it, wear it for the holidays, and then return it.   I think they do this with a lot of their inventory.

I'm loving it. Now that I know there's $$ under my tree in an envelope, I'm watching to see what I want to spend it on. Last year had the best rings, too. I look forward to the day before Christmas jewelry shows more than my cranky in-laws! I treat myself after putting up with snide remarks for not reacting to it and making it worse, plus if they're ignored they don't get as much satisfaction. I feel I deserve to treat myself today!! Woman LOL

I suspect it has a lot to do with production and shipping. They only need a couple of people to do a jewelry show (do they even have models today?), and the shipping staff is also smaller. It's easy to stuff a bracelet into a padded envelope and stick it in the mail, as opposed to loading up pallets of KA mixers and computers.

Yea, jewelry would have been good a month ago... But looking at what's on offer, bronzo and fake diamonds, I think I'll pass...

I agree - faux stones, bronzo, dipped sterling in other colors that wear off eventually, cleaning out inventory, saying bye bye to great vendors who used to be here, others that they're fazing out. And let's not forget an apparent repeat of tday's special value - according to one reviewer already, she's had her's for years.  And another reviewer who's clasp broke the day she wore it.

Had to laugh at one note made here about not offering this type of tsv prior to the holidays so no one could order it, wear it for the holidays then return it.  what would it matter, after all isn't it "love it or return it, no questions asked"?
