Almost every bangle I have was a gift and means something special. When my son came home at Christmas from college with one that he bought because it will remind me of where he is, I knew these would ALWAYS be special. Maybe they will not look great in a year - I don't know - I've been wearing them since DD gave me my "Mom" one on Mother's Day 2013, but I will still be wearing them! We were walking down the main shopping area of Key West a few weeks ago. One of the girls who worked in the gift shop of Coyote Ugly was standing at the entrance. She stopped me and asked if she could see mine because she also collected them. I told her what each one meant, and she showed me her collection. I like the fact that most of the people I talk to get ones that have a special meaning to them. We are lucky to live near one of the Alex and Ani main stores, and I've talked to men who come in wanting to buy a set for their wives.
I'm usually not a huge fan of costume jewelry, but I really like these. You see a lot of them around here, and most of my friends here are wearing them! There are three I wear every day; the others I alternate. I bought the conch one when we were in Key West for DH's nephew's wedding. Good memories!
I do know though that they are not for everyone. All of us have different styles of jewelry we like.

Jazz
When did you order? I ordered after they said they were sold out. If you read my earlier post you will see I think I got the last one. I was scared it was a mistake and they would cancel. My order is still showing "processing"/ I hope they don't back order me. Such a good buy. I got the silver. I tried to order 2, the site did say "sold out". When I took one off and ordered 1, it accepted my order.
I did go to the alex and ani site and ordered a few other bracelets. And I get 5% back with mrrebates!!

shoekitty, I had it in my cart during the show but I didn't pull the trigger until after the show was over - which may be why it is on backorder. Unfortunately I haven't had good luck lately with backorders although I think there is a better chance that a backorder will be fulfilled.

I think they do keep popping back into stock occasionally. I just put a gold set in my cart a couple minutes ago, but am going to release it now because I already have an order for them processing. Just keep checking today if you are really interested.

I beg to differ I have had several of my bracelets for at least 3 years way before they became so trendy and I will contiune to wear mine for many years
