I have several.  I purchased them because of the specific charities.  The one I always wear is my grandson’s initial.  Often I wear that one alone. I might pair it with the Grandmother bracelet, or the treble clef, or the apple, or the dog paw.  In the summer I wear a sand dollar necklace and bracelet.  Depends on my mood.  I like them better than a charm bracelet.  I am individual enough that if they do “go out of style,” I will still wear them.

@nbct - ITA! Especially because my teenage son gave me my second one. He selected one and paid for it by himself! DD has given me many of them as gifts. I will be wearing them forever! Smiley Happy

I have several Alex and Ani bracelets. Okay, maybe more than, 'several'. They are priced appropriately for gift giving and all of the one's I own are gifts. What is everyone's thoughts on these bracelets? Is it time for their reitrement? I feel once they hit the Q, the market is saturated and the novelty has worn off?

@Suzka34  Are you old enough to remember puka shell necklaces? Everyone wore one until we couldn’t stand it anymore. Such is the case with any jewelry which is a trend. BTW, how many are stuck w/ fairly expensive huge statement necklaces? See anyone still wearing them? I have’t in my area...all delicate chains. Don’t toss them...definitely will make a comeback!

I think their time is up.  I have a grouping and they are more trouble then anything in my opinion,

Yep.  I see statement necklaces all the time.  Not only do I see them on others, I still wear them.  One of my favorite easy outfits is a pair of dark jeans, a black cashmere sweater, black boots  and a large statement necklace.

Re: Alex and Ani? Trend?

[ Edited ]

Alex and Ani bracelets used to be special, until the look a like knock offs came on the market.  I have a few of the original and some of the latter.  I enjoy layering them.  However, I don't feel  they are the "IT" thing anymore.

PS.......my originals were in the under $40 category and the fakes less.

I dont like them because they are fake - Ilike to at least wear real silver
