Affinity 14 kt gold and diamond earringd-made in China

I bought this pair of earring years ago and loved them. I lost one. I took it to my jeweler to sell with other broken gold jewelry. I found out it is NOT 14 kt. I am disappointed and disillusioned. I have trusted QVC for over 20 years. I have called customer service, written an email and offered to send them the earring. All to no avail. I was cautioned by my jeweler, do not purchase any items stamped any grade of gold from China. I have spent a fortune at QVC. Some concern might be helpful. A sad QVC shopper.
