Advice needed on long chain

I'd like to buy a 30" silver chain and wrap it around my neck twice, pull one loop down so it's longer than the other, put a pendant on the longer loop and have shorter loop be at choker length.

I need advice on the type of chain. Will a snake chain be better? Or a box chain? I don't want a rope since I already have a few of those in shorter length. I guess it has to roll a little without looking bad. Any advice on the type of chain? Thanks.
