Adjusting lever backs?

Hey ladies. I tried finding former threads regarding the issue of tight lever back earrings. I received the eclipse earrings and they feel as though they are pinching the end of my earlobes off! {#emotions_dlg.w00t} Ouch!!! I have a couple of pairs of Ripka earrings, as a matter of fact, that need some slight adjusting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
