Just received the Smithsonian repro Hope Diamond necklace and am not sure about it.Looks better on but awfully lightweight.I bought as a hoot to wear casually since my mom actually saw Wash's real necklace at a party many moons ago and I heard so much about it as a child-have to show her.I mean, I was not expecting much for the $$$ and would have paid more if silver which would have made it sturdier.Just worried it may break as a "potmetal" is the base with a silvertone finish and I had to carefully "unwind" it after taking it out of the box-worried it may snap.It seems to be sold out so hoping to get other opinions before I may send back-seems a bit pricey for the quality.I have seen similar with real C.Z.'s in silver on other sites(more$$) but thought better of a Smithsonian item.Anyone please?
