At least this stone appears transparent.  Any fire opals I own are pretty opaque.  But $2,000?  No way for me.

I saw the sellout in Items Recently On Air.  Did not check again until I saw @FlyersGirl's post and I missed it.  It is beautiful!

@depglass That is one of my beefs about fire opals. So many are opaque. The Brazilian ones, like this ring, are usually clear. But the Brazilian color is light to medium orange typically. Brazilian seems to be a little easier to find, but still pricey. I love the clear red, real fire, Mexican fire opals. Hard to find at a decent price.
