$8.97 to ship the Ruffle cuff or ring? Is QVC insane?

I would have loved to purchase that ring, but they put the cuff (at nearly $300) under the same item number as the ring ($99), and the S&H for either was $8.97. Then comes an item for around $150, and it's less. The Q really has developed some of the wonkiest policies when it comes to S&H pricing.
