20 percent jewelry coupon is not really 20 percent

I use Shop HQ 20 percent coupons all the time for a big ticket jewelry item.  They really are a true discount .  Today, I saw the QVC coupon for a 20 percent off a jewelry item, and I thought Great!  Then I read the fine print and it said savings was a max of $50.00  The item would have to be under $300.00  for this coupon.  Guess that is why I still use their competition.

Well, to me, $50 off would still be a great savings.

Yeah, I tried to use it on a pricey 18k gold bangle that was on clearance and since it was I couldn't use it on

clearance item.

They're big on exclusions.

@annie-g @SharkE For my birthday I wanted a 14k gold paperclip necklace.  My husband bought one at costco, 24 inch 10.62 gm for 729.  I just looked at shophq and a 20 inch 4.75 gm on sale no less was 999.  There were more expensive ones, I picked a sale one.  I know you can't get a huge variety at costco but if you can find something you like the prices are great.

Every coupon comes with restrictions.  Best to always read.

Q always has a max dollar amount on coupons. This is the first $50 one I have seen. Most are $10-$15 and that doesn't entice me to buy, especially when other retailers offer real promo codes.
