I must say that I was struck by the stark difference between these two item. They are both clearly and obviously JRQ, but they both seem to have such a different aura about them.

J156278 - These have an art deco, modernist feeling to them. The onyx, which is pear shaped, is faceted but not flat. This enables the onyx to keep its chubbiness and have the light dance off it better. The carving is dramatic, but more subdued, with the trademark heart, with lovely texture, finding its way into the mix. At the top of the onyx are what appears to be leaves which gently caress the stone. DMQ is teeny tiny. ALthough the earrings are a bit longer than the usual dangle, they are far from outrageous. They sit perfectly on the ear and are comfy. A real winner!

J156285 - To me, these are soft and romantic, the polar opposite of the onyx earrings. They are a smaller dangle. The color of the prehnite is a soft green, but with such depth to make it mesmerizing. Each time the stone cabby moves another color combo pops up. Ropes are everywhere on the carvings, with a teeny tiny DMQ heart directly above the prehnite. Outstanding and just lovely understated elegance.
