Stuller is selling casting grain 14k for $28.93 a gram today.  UsGoldBuyers is buying it for $22.68 a gram.

The original post was written in 2012.  Even then, gold wasn't that cheap.  The price of gold skyrocketed way before 2012 though it has come down a little since.
