When Isaac Mizrahi first came to QVS he really had some WONDERFUL tee shirts.  After ordering one, I found the tee shirts to be the best I had ever had.  Isaac himself said that he was a tee shirt snob and his fabric was the best that could be found.  He was right.  I remembering ordering 10-12 short sleeved ones as well as 10-12 long sleeved one.  Being older, over the years, I wore Talbots most of the time and tried Lands End and and other well know name brands.  None of them were half as good as Isaac's, so every few months, I ordered.   After about a year or two (?) he changed the fabric!  Naturally, he talked about how much better they were, kept (and still does) shows videos of the cotton Lima etc.  What a shame he did that.  He can talk until he's blue in the face, he was right when he brought of the original cotton....the had such a nice heft and also held up beautifully.  So many times zi have tried the Pima cotton one, but sent them back.  I talked to many of my friends and was so surprised that everyone felt the same way and left Isaac because of it.

I would love to order the original one as so many other gals feel the same way.  Not one of the people said they didn't care if he increased the price as long as they could get them.  I for one, would pay any amount just to have him sell them again.  He could bring them back, but he would rather sell the Pima ones.  Why Isaac..you had the BEST for us...please bring them back....I think you will be surprised at the way sales would increase.

thankyou for listening, Sheldo. (Not proofread for spelling, hard with a broken hand).

Re: Original tee shirts/tops

I love the 'beefy' cotton t shirts, which are thick 100% cotton.  They wash up like new and last for years, but they especially drape well and look attractive.

I missed Isaac's original tees, and I cannot find the beefy cotton t shirts anymore!

Not a tee-shirt, but in Isaac's early days with QVC I purchased a jacket of his.  It's a beautiful knit, a Chanel copy.  It's kind of  short and boxy, it's a putty color with olive green piping and beautiful gold buttons.  Whenever I wear it, I always see some female giving it the once over.  It washes beautifully.  I've purchased other jackets from him, but they never hit the same mark.

I loved the color so much, I had the exterior of my house painted the same colors and love it, too!

Me either! They're all paper thin (especially white) and/or they wrinkle. I liked Issac's original cotton shirts. I have a few of the Pima, but have to iron them. They wrinkle once washed.

I think if they made the heavier originals, the price point would be higher than what the average customer is willing to pay for a tee.  There's too much competition for less money.

Re: Original tee shirts/tops

I've purchased several of his Pima cotton tops and while they are soft they are not the same as a beefy cotton top. I would think that the Pima would be pricier as he always says it's so much better. Whatever. We know what we like and want! I've donated more of his Pima tops than I've kept and am still wearing....
