Bought a top of his a while back and only wore once.  Took it out to wear again and it is in horrible quality, lace is all unthreaded, looked like I had wore it many times.  Bought a few items over the years and wonder how his overratedness is tolerated.  This top that I paid a decent amount of money for is not even suitable to sell on ebay.  I will put it in a goodwill bag but I am confident they will just throw it out.  Even with the "Isaac Mizrahi " tag on it that is obviously unused.

I'm confused.  You wore it once with the Mizrahi tag still on it?

I purchased 3 pair of isaac pants in black to wear to gym. I though i was set for at least a year, i washed them inside out on cold, it must have been only 6 months and they look awful. Faded out and losing stretch. They were at least 50.00 each so not cheap. I am very unhappy with quality also.

I like his line and have many of his colorful sweaters.  I am very careful with laundering them though for that reason.   I think the quality for a lot of different clothing on QVC is hit or miss.   I wish they would make more in the USA,  if you're going to charge the high prices give us a better made garment please!

I've always said - nobody - nobody - can design and make shoes, handbags, tops, bottoms and watches - - I believe he gets 'deals' in the NYC garmet district - buys in bulk and sells them on the Q.

I think she means the label sewn in the garment.

@Daysdee Maybe, but how does the sewn in label designate that a garment was "unused", as she has said.  Does everyone cut out the label when they wear a garment?  I sure haven't ever done that.

Garment District?  I always figured they come direct from China with his label sewn in at the factory.  There's no way he has a hand in the designs when he obviously has never seen them before.

Re: Isaac Mizrahi quality

I really like IM's clothing, but I think the quality varies.

I thought his riding boots were amazing quality and comparable to higher end brands at a very reasonable price. I have 4 pairs of them. His pants in the 24/7 are great and I really appreciate that he offers tall sizing--not many do here at QVC. His cotton t-shirts and tunics are great basics. One of my all-time favorite tunics was a QVC IM and it rivaled a Tory Burch tunic.
