I guess I just need to vent...

I haven't been doing much of anything these past few days and it's wearing on me.

Saturday night a friend of ours (who has a beautiful SPOTLESS home) will be picking DH and I up to take us out to dinner as a "thank you" for DH working on their computer. All week I have been sitting here...gotta clean, gotta clean. I kept putting it off until today and now I am so overwhelmed im in tears. I have a beautiful home but I am terribly unorganized. My way of cleaning is, pick it up and put it in another room. Clean that room, pick it up and put it where it was before or stick it in a closet. Needless to say my closets are full and I have boxes of scrapbooking supplies in my dining room! DH had an accident and severly injured his leg so I bought him a recliner and the chair that was there is now behind the sofa. I was hoping to put it in what was my sons room but he flies home and stays for the weekend twice a month.

I just don't know what to do. I used to be able to throw things away but DH is of the thought, if it ain't broke, dont fix or replace. His mom has items from the 50's (her furniture is all 50's too) so it's a learned thing for him. My furniture is 5 years old or less and it took 25 years of marriage before I got the okay to replace (I did have very good furniture that wore very well). He's all into getting rid of things now and now I CANT!

I often think of the glory of opening a closet door, close my eyes and just throw everything into a garbage bag and throw it away without even knowing what is in there. What I don't know won't hurt me type of thing. That would give me room to store my scrapbooking totes and have them handy for when I go away for all day scraps.

My house is 1800 sq ft but it is only 5 rooms, the first floor is just two, the living room and kitchen/dining room combo so I can't put it in another room and shut the door.

I could go on and on, thanks for reading. Im feeling better just for sharing
