I knew it would happen sometime. Items delivered by ups say they were delivered when I track them, on Friday, but I never received them. I knew I was getting lucky having deliveries left at my front door. Guess I'll have to pick them up at the ups main store after work now. Anybody else have issues with items taken from the front door? What a pita. Smiley Sad

Yes,yesterday ups stated package was delivered to my daughter in Michigan. My daughter never received her snowman blanket. The first time I ordered it,QVC screwed

up and didn't send it to UPS. They shipped it second time and UPS screwed up. This is getting quite depressing. QVC said they were sending another one express but so far, nothing. I'm being billed for blanket but no blanket!

I prefer UPS to the post office where I live. Far, far better service but I often go online & ask for the package to be held at the hub and I'll pick it up the same day, friendlier hours than the post office.

I'm done with retailers that won't let me choose a shipper. Also done with shippers that won't allow a package to be held for pickup.

Lessman is one of those that won't allow a package to be held.

I have a new driver this season, so he left my package across the road at the neighbor's front door.  Amazon got a call about it being delivered but not delivered.  I had another package the next day.  They complained to UPS and the new driver got it right from then on.  My place is well marked, so I'm not sure why he did what he did, even the neighbor's front door is clearly not used daily, so he should have left it at the side door they use, but why he chose the front I don't know.  I did have USPS deliver my air fryer and put it under my mower cover.  When I went to check up on it and found it delivered, I panicked. It was there and had been there for 3 days.  In my rural part of the world, UPS doesn't usually deliver ground on Saturdays, but they were out today, probably because so many are ordering online rather than brave the shops.  Just keep track of your packages and follow up.

I always have problems with UPS delieveries once the extra drivers are put on the route. I never get my packages on my porch. They always drop them off at one of the other homes on the street. I have my house number listed in three places. The other homes on the street have their house numbers listed in two places (mailbox and house)  Our house numbers do not run in sequence but that is not unique in our city. Some of the neighbors are honest and some are not. I have called UPS multiple times and nothing changes. The only good thing is that I have a claim # so I can get a replacment item. I have worse problems with Fed Express.  This year I limited my shopping according to delivery service.

here in Los Angeles we got delivery yesterday - totally unexpected   according to my UPS man they wanted to try to get ahead of things so packages that had come in for Monday delivery were delivered on Saturday.  sounds like they are doing what they can to handle volume from last minute shoppers.  it is after all hard to predict.

I was astonished to see a UPS package arrive three days after I shipped it when it would normally take at least five and perhaps longer during the holidays.  Thank you, UPS!

My husband works for UPS and they indeed were working almost a full crew on Saturday to keep packages moving. Overall the system is quite amazing when one considers how many packages go through it, and the rate of successful and timely deliveries.

Nothing is going to be perfect.
