The phone blocker is great, HOWEVER, it also blocks calls that I don't want blocked, even me, when I call home. I called the company which told me to change out the black cord with the white cord. Then I have no dial tone at all. Other than than, they couldn't hlp me. I almost want to give up on it. A plumber called today and he gets a noise like a fax machine. Same when I call home. And my friends have said they tried to call, too, and got that weird noise. Did anybody else have this problem? If so, how did you fix it?

Re: trouble with phone blocker?

@geegerbee  I am sure someone would like to assist you, but you need to give more information as to what type of system you have.

Re: trouble with phone blocker?

I have the phone blocker QVC sells. E231630. That's why I posted the question on the QVC board.

Re: trouble with phone blocker?

I know @SharkE had a call blocker she was very pleased with.  I don't know if she got it at q or hsn.  Maybe she can answer your questions.

Or maybe in Customer Care section?  Calling a mod, maybe?

@geegerbee, if you ask the mods to move this to the electronics forum it'll be seen by a lot of people who are savvy about this item.

@geegerbee

Can you post a picture of your wiring set-up? I would like to help out but I need to see how you have it hooked up. That would really help us figure out what is wrong. I own the same thing and at first I had it hooked up wrong then looked online for a solution and got it to work correctly. Woman Happy

eta - The white cord has a red plug on one end. That red plug needs to be plugged into LINE 1 on the CallBlocker. The other end of the white cord has a clear plug and that needs to be plugged into your phone.
