GASP!  @MalteseMomma You ought to be locked up and the key needs to be thrown away!  (j/k, of course)

I keep fabric softener sheets on hand.  DH prefers them if he runs a load.  I prefer liquid, if I can remember to catch the rinse cycle.  When I don't, sometimes I'll redo it, but if it doesn't really matter I'll use a sheet.  And yes, I've used fabric softener on my sheets and sometimes on bath towels and washcloths.  GASP again!

There is so much static electricity in the fleece sheets in the winter, if I don't use a softener sheet I feel I may be electrocuted.  I've always used one.

I won't use any type or brand of dryer sheets. When I moved years ago my new dryer had a warning on it saying if I used dryer sheets in it my warranty would be void. I've never used them since. If I use fabric softener I use liquid.
