This is probably going to sound weird, but has anyone ever taken an unopened can of interior paint back to the original store (mine is from a specific paint store, not a big box) and asked them to try to add more tint to make it a different color? I bought two gallons more than I ended up needing of a neutral beige tone, and I need one gallon of a slate blue color, so I just wondered if this was possible?
I'm not super hyper about the tint being exact. I'm just going for a medium to dark tone of a grey/blue (think coastal) for above wainscotting in the bath, so I don't need a ton of paint I'd need to rematch
Thoughts from any frugal DIYers out there would be appreciated.
