refrigerator question??

I just got a new french door refrigerator. My question is does anyone put a half gallon of orange juice or juice on the side of the door?? I couldn't seem to find in the book how heavy something can be on the sides. I have to move my shelf up to make my milk and half gallon jugs fit. I never even thought about this when ordering!!
