Re: "Shabby Loft" Living Room

I love the room.

I would take out the rug and light fixtures though.

@lolakimono  Based on the walls and ceiling, is this the same loft featured in the bedroom picture you posted?

I really like it. My husband would be tripping on the furry throw rug and complaining about it non stop so that would have to go.

Keep the rug .... make the hubby go (LOL).

This is not 'me' really, but with the exception of the furry rug/blanket thing on the floor, I love this!!

I find this relaxing and soothing, warm and comfy.

It is not my style, however I do like it, minus the rug and some of those throw pillows........Just too many of those..

Re: "Shabby Loft" Living Room

To me, this isn't a 'shabby chic' look, which I never did much like and think has been around way long enough... That said, I'm also not seeing the 'clutter'. There might be a few more pillows than is necessary, but at least it looks like someone actually lives there... Then again, I've never been a fan of the spartan or monastery look... Even the well appointed rooms in many magazine layouts are sort of unbelievable, because while they almost always reference a 'busy family' or a 'family with young children', the rooms usually look as if no one actually lives in them.

Nothing about this room appeals to me at all.It just looks messy.

Get rid of all but maybe 3 of the sofa pillows, and change the white upholstry to something more colorful, and I'd live here!

@faeriemoon

I don't think so- this one is from Pottery Barn.

Walls look dirty.  Wonder what the rent would be if it were in a big city.
