That's just for a magazine picture.  In real life it would be an accident waiting to happen.  And it would happen pretty quickly.

Fun but precarious....if you live in a Manhattan apartment space is such a premium this loft arrangement is not uncommon.

@lolakimono  It's very cool, and I don't mind the height.  But the ladder would do me in.  Perhaps with a more stable staircase, and a little larger "dangling" area, it could be functional.  Unfortunately, ladders terrify me!

How would the ladder and second floor even pass city/fire, some kind of code.  You wouldn't be able to get apartment/Home insurance w/o withholding facts.  #notinthislifetime
