Re: "Less is More" Parisian Apartment Tour

Give me 20 minutes!  I'll cover every flat surface in that apartment with "stuff."   I take after my mother.  We like "stuff" around.  My sister is the opposite.  Her house looks like that apt.

Funny story .... on Friday,  decided to move two bookcases.  So, I take out all the books and stack them on the floor.  Moved the bookcases.  Wiped them down, dusted all the books and arranged them in like categories.

I stared putting the books back and ran out of bookcase shelves before I ran out of books.  I'm thinking they must have multiplied while sitting there on the floor.  About 20 books didn't fit back into the bookcases.

Well, I could see a couple with no kids or pets living here.  I think just a touch of something on a wall or two would do wonders. Love white sterile looking bathrooms.  I find that very attractive.

My first thought was: *No makeup to be worn in this room!*

And *Back to the kitchen with that bowl of salsa, Honey!*

I just dont like white furniture or all white homes.  This apartment reminds me of a hospital waiting room.

Re: "Less is More" Parisian Apartment Tour

I'm going to shock a few people here, as I don't like anything modern or cold usually.

But there is something about this that I do like.

I like the cool feeling, I like the fact that simplistic is actually applied here, where so much claims to be but is filled with stuff. I like that there aren't obnoxious 'pops of color'.

There is an elegance here, in my opinion.

Would I live here? NO. Would I love to spend a week here, YES!

[ Edited ]

@lolakimono Two years ago, I was tasked with finding my boss and his family a suite of rooms in Paris for their vacation. They prefered the old fashioned, guilded opulent decor of their imaginations. I couldn't believe how many suites I came across looked very much like your pictures. It took me a while, but I found something to their liking.

I'm trying to find something in the room that I like.  I'm not having any success.  Too bland and boring and colorless.
