Thanks for the heads up. I think I will have to start checking as is more often, because I'm really surprised by how quickly we are seeing as is items that were brand new only 2-3 weeks ago.

I had considered buying two of these in the cream/ivory as part of some baby shower gifts (two upcoming showers). I'm gifting some nice children's books, and thought about adding these to the gift to use as nightlights in the baby's room.

Anyone have an opinion on that?

Have noticed that several of the reviews are stating that only one wing lights up. Seems to be a problem with the lights inside in general. That is why I've held off ordering. Don't want to give a gift that will fail in short order, even though they are pretty unlit as well.

So be leery of the as is ones, as I bet a lot of those with lighting problems are coming back.

I read that too, MIO. Good idea. Before I order any "as Is" I always go the original product page and read the reviews to see why people were returning the item. I sure hope everyone does.
