Good afternoon all I hope you are having a good day! I am soon getting home improvements and I am getting replacement windows and I want to get plantation shutters for 6 windows. I started to do some research but I am at a loss on who to contact to come in for an estimate. I live in the Upstate New York area. I heard they can be really expensive but you have to know who to choose to buy from and I need them to install them as well. Do any of you have the plantation shutters and who did them for you or do you recommend anyone that does them for a good price?
Thank you for your time.

Although I cannot offer advice on vendors who sell them in New York (I live in Florida) I can tell you my wood Plantation shutters are one of the single best investments I've made on my home.
I went for the 5 inch slats as my home is ultra modern and I want to be able to see the palms and ocean outside.
Good luck! I know you will love them!

I got mine several years ago - just three for my master bedroom. I went with Next Day Blinds and was very pleased with the service and the product.

Thanks for your reply SuzieQue I am glad you love yours and it sounds like heaven to look outside from your windows and big slat plantation shutters to see the palm trees and ocean!!

Try the window covering companies that work through Costco in your area. I have had good results with them.

Thanks Dianne for your suggestion. I am not a member of Costco so I don't think I could use them?

I brought my throughout the house in 2008. They have all different prices depending on the home windows and style. I LOVE THEM, THEY MAKE AN OLD HOUSE LOOK BEAUTIFUL. EASY TO CLEAN AND NO BILLS WITH CLEANING OR SENDING OUT DRAPES OR WHATEVER WINDOW TREATMENT. I'M sorry, I forgot the company name, but they were well known and if you go online you will find companies.
Best investment I ever made. I got thermal ones in kitchen and living room, also my sliding doors.

I did the same, wider slats, so I could let lots of light in, but they also open up. Love them, wish I had brought them years ago, all the money I would have saved with cheaper blinds and drapes.

I am even more convinced I want them from hearing how a lot of you love them! The only problem is I heard they can be expensive, like $500 a window? My windows are like 48" x 49". I know I would get the faux wood one.
