I bought a memory foam mattress about 6 years ago and I would not have anything else.  I love it!  I also use the pillows.

I don't know about mattresses....but several years ago i bought a 4 inch mattress topper for my bed....i hated it...i couldn't turn over or around it kept swallowing me..i felt like i spent the night struggling to move.....I had a bottom sheet over it and it still was miserable...

It was  too large to send back...i have a king bed...i put it in my basement and eventually found someone who wanted it...oh, and it was too hot....

@tockerman.      I have a Miforma memory foam mattress which was made out of recycled materials.  Love it.  It's not hot like some memory foam mattresses are.  It has 20 year warranty.  I like the fact that it takes pressure off the joints.  Yes, you have to learn how to turn on the bed as it is different.  Once you get the hang of it, there is no problem.  I own it for 8 years now.   Cat Very Happy

I bought one from Overstock dot com a year or so ago and it is OUTSTANDING! The brand is Slumber Solutions. I got the "12 inch Gel Memory Foam" mattress. You can choose Soft, Medium, or Firm. Because memory foam mattresses are generally firmer than other types of mattresses, I chose Soft and it is perfect. You will love the cost, too. It's much cheaper than other memory foam mattresses. I urge you to read the reviews; there are many! I studied mattresses for months before I took a plunge and actually ordered one online. I feel like I won the "mattress lottery!" LOL

Last year added a JC Penny memory foam topper to my QVC Serta pillow top mattress - Serta was just too firm for my hips/joints.  The topper was around $100, I bought the best one with the best reviews.  Do you like clouds? - if so - go for the topper and save $$$.

I bought one last August and I love, love, love ❤️  it. I had a Serta that I hated. I would wake up with back and neck pain every morning so bad that there were times I wanted to cry. Now I can lay in my memory foam bed all night and wake up painless. Also with my Serta I could not lay on my side for more than maybe 5 minutes before my hips would hurt. Now I can sleep all night on my side if I want. It does not sleep hot either.

I have bought two memory foam mattresses online.  One is a Tempur-pedic, original model (8") and the other is a Pedic Solutions from QVC.

We love them both.  I would never go back to a box spring/coil arrangement.  In fact, for a long time the Tempur-pedic sat on the floor, on a platform.  No more squeaky creaky mattress, and we find the foam type to be very comfortable.

We have bought two from QVC and  two from COSTCO. All have been totally successful. Love them.

I have one memory foam mattress which I love.   I'll soon be buying another.   I've read a ton of reviews and material on foam mattresses and have decided I'll get a Casper.
