BTW, My friend has a distiller she pours her tap water into and love it. Her's is electric.

Nah........I've been drinking the local crud my whole life (although I must say Lake Mich is the best!)

So, did you also get the drinking water filter? We got the Kinetico system about 23 years ago. Best home improvement ever. I save so much on soaps, shampoos, laundry soap, etc. because of the very soft water. I wanted the system for the drinking water, but DH said no. Now I am also searching for some kind of solution for the drinking water.

Definately use a water filter but it takes up the entre space under my sink.  Had to clean up my cleaning supplies.  Man Sad
