did someone mention "rustic decor"????

i can't remember if it was here or on one of my many other DIY decor sites but the topic of rustic decor was brought up and i found these at one of my favorite places to shop for home accessories.

they were only $2 each on clearance! the metal was very rusty and badly discolored so i brought them home and sanded it and then painted it with my ORB metallic paint. i plan to do something with them for thanksgiving/christmas decor but haven't nailed down my choice yet.

Good deal! I wanted something very similar I saw online, but they were distressed wood. They were much more expensive.

What a great score! I love rustic things as we live in a farmhouse in the mountains, and that look works so well here. It's difficult to find things like you just came across, but so worth the effort when you do find them. Have a great time playing with them to find just the look you want! pinky

Just wondering how big they are. I can't tell if they're more like a candle holder or a cake stand.

lovely . Do you enjoy crafts ? I do not have one but do watercolor. I love the pedestals.

Possibly place large candles in the center, and candies around he base ? Just beautiful.

Re: did someone mention ""rustic decor""????

Very, very nice and so authentic looking. Reminds me of my inlaws retirement home in Maine. They built a brand new home with all the bells and whistles of a modern house but the house looks exactly like an old log cabin from the outside. And my mil did a wonderful job of decorating in a rustic/country decor. She's a crafter and a history buff and into knitting and quilting. So, she had all the skills needed to give her home that "authentic" look.
