i found a marble slab that i plan to use for rolling out doght.  it rather huge and very heavy.  i ad been wanting one for a long time.  i called a couple of places and one in this size, called scrap pieces was over $150.00.  i paid 8 dollars for mine.

Now that is a score.  If you have space, you might be able to turn it into a rolling cart or small island.  You could also cut out a bit of your counter and mount it into the counter like it would be done if created that way for a baker's kitchen.

it is not really big enough to put into a counter top but it is just the right size to use as a baord to roll out dough and such on.
