I really enjoy decorating topics and observations . Although I daydream & plan more than I actually do it .

I have found I do enjoy seeing the backgrounds in whatever zoom/skype broadcasts I am watching. Often they are rather boring -- bookcase , vase, maybe a fresh bouquet here and there .  But sometimes I am in awe of the decor. I was watching CNN youtube clip of which I totally forgot what it was about because of the modern yet colorful back ground decor . Smiley Happy

I guess I am not alone . I was watching some politician (whose name I cannot recall now) give an analysis of something or other . I was struck by the kitchen he was in and wanted to see more of it. When it was ending the commentator said words to the effct of " by the way the kitchen you are in is striking !"

Checking out the background in the video interviews is often the best part. I love when a dog wanders into the shot.

If there are bookcases in the background, I find myself trying to read the titles and then I wonder if they’ve actually read the books. Smiley Wink

@okaywitheasypay  I read an article online the other day that said we needed new vocabulary to go along with the recent changes in our lives. The author had one called "Zoom Tourism" along with several other vocabulary ideas.

Zoom Tourism

- The act of spending 80 percent of a Zoom call focused entirely on what your co-workers' rooms look like, something guaranteed to be more fascinating than anything discussed on the call itself.

I love looking at the rooms everyone on the calls are in.  It gives a little insight into the personality of the person that lives there, too.
