Re: Your Home with Jill - Fall Candlesticks

QVC's window for ordering harvest themed items is ridiculous... With them, it's all about their largely tedious Christmas item offerings. If they'd stock some of these fall things adequately in the first place, it wouldn't be such an issue.

I think I'd like the Christmas pillars better without the ribbon...

I was thinking that the ribbon is too wide and I will experiment when I receive mine. I am hoping that it's wired ribbon so perhaps it can be "smooshed" up and not look so large. It looks better on the video, and kind of obtrusive in the picture, so maybe Jill did some adjusting.

I agree that Fall items should be stocked until at least the end of October, but I do love the Christmas items.

It is wired, I think I heard her say. In one picture the bow looks huge, but when Jill was presenting it, the bow was mostly hidden by the fruit.

If there is no other way, it can probably be cut out with fine tipped scissors.

Stevie I was thinking the same thing about the pillars it would have looked really nice without the ribbon....Jill mentioned snipping the ribbon off, (but why pay for something that would probably be discarded) and for that price I can find similar pillars elsewhere and cheaper--- Home Goods, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Marshalls, Joanns etc etc.

Fall/harvest decorating is supposed to be the longest season to use seasonal decor--September through November, yet QVC and all retailers for that matter seem to put it up in August and quickly take in down in the favor of Christmas items in September---IT'S DOWNRIGHT RIDICULOUS! I love Christmas, but I also love fall and want to get a chance to enjoy that too.......
