I saw this in Good Housekeeping online today.
Oh, how I wish!
Doc Martin fans are in for a treat because the Cornish property used in the popular ITV show is now available to rent as a holiday let.
Fern Cottage in Port Isaac, north Cornwall, is Martin Clunes' surgery and home in the TV series based in the fictional village of Portwenn – and we can see why producers thought it would be a perfect fit.
The old slate-hung fisherman's cottage is nestled on the hillside in one of the county's most beautiful villages, and the interiors are as breathtaking as the panoramic views of Port Isaac harbour.
You'll find a stone fireplace, beamed ceiling and slate flagged floor in the sitting room; separate dining room with log burner; and a modern fitted galley kitchen on the ground floor. Perfect for cosy evenings in, or enjoying a relaxed breakfast before a trip to the beach.
Two spacious bedrooms sleep up to four upstairs, while the bathroom is bright, modern and big enough to accommodate a family.
If the sun shines, there's a slate sun terrace and raised lawned garden on two levels to the rear of the property, with magnificent sea views. It's the perfect spot to sip a glass of wine as the sun sets, after a busy day exploring the local art galleries, taking in the sights on a cliff top walk from Port Isaac to Port Gaverne, surfing at neighbouring Polzeath or Daymer Bay, or cycling the Camel Trail.
Just don't be surprised to see fellow Doc Martin fans posing for photos outside your window!

The interior looks much lovelier than it does on TV! 😄

@house_cat Thanks for the lovely pictures. I have wanted to attend baking classes at a bakery in Cornwall, and now I have a place to stay!

I'd stay there! I like that show. I agree it doesn't look that nice on TV.

To stand on the hill overlooking that beautiful cove would be worth it.
